NIC Peshawar Holds Pitching League for Cohort 14 Startup Founders

Published on

Ideas were tested, pitches were sharpened, and Cohort 14 founders stepped up to make their case at the NIC Peshawar Pitching League, giving startups from the incubator’s current cohort an opportunity to present their ventures in front of a panel of judges. The pitching event marked a culmination point for Cohort 14 participants, following months of development and mentorship support received through NIC Peshawar’s programme.

Judges Ahad Wazir, Noor Ul Huda Arif, Tahira Kaleem, and Hussain Ahmad Khan evaluated the participating startups, sharing insights, asking pointed questions, and providing valuable feedback throughout the session. This kind of direct, critical engagement gives founders a realistic sense of how their pitches and business models hold up under scrutiny, offering feedback that extends beyond simple encouragement into genuinely useful critique.

The pitching format reflects a common milestone within incubation programmes, where founders move from purely developmental mentorship sessions into more evaluative, competitive settings that mirror the kind of scrutiny they will eventually face when pitching to actual investors. NIC Peshawar has continued to operate under a consortium led by LMKR and LMKT, with support from Ignite, having incubated more than two hundred startups and generated significant revenue and job creation across previous cohorts.

Alongside the Pitching League, NIC Peshawar announced that applications for Cohort 16 are now open, giving prospective founders an opportunity to join the incubator’s next intake. This timing, opening a new cohort’s applications while celebrating the progress of an existing cohort, reflects the continuous, overlapping nature of incubator programming, where multiple cohorts often progress through different stages simultaneously.

The event was supported by Ignite National Technology Fund, Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication, LMKT, Orbit Startups, Accelerate Prosperity, Sybrid, and academic institutions including IM Sciences, Rehman Medical Institute, and CECOS University, alongside Frontier Platinum, reflecting the broad institutional network tied to NIC Peshawar’s programming.
