BIC University of Peshawar Hosts Capacity Building Training on CEIC Programme

Published on

Business Incubation Center at University of Peshawar is hosting a Capacity Building Training on Commerce Entrepreneurship Incubation Centre for the Directorate General of Commerce Education and Management Sciences, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, running over two days from the third to the fourth of September, twenty twenty six, at the Business Incubation Center on the University of Peshawar campus. The training continues BIC’s efforts to strengthen and promote the incubation and entrepreneurship ecosystem across the province.

The two day training will focus on building institutional capacity, promoting innovation, and enabling educational institutions to develop effective incubation platforms that can transform ideas into sustainable enterprises. This focus on institutional capacity building, rather than direct founder training, positions the session as aimed at equipping other educational institutions with the knowledge and frameworks needed to establish or strengthen their own incubation capabilities.

By working directly with the Directorate General of Commerce Education and Management Sciences, BIC is positioning itself as a resource for building incubation capacity across a broader network of commerce education institutions within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rather than limiting its influence solely to University of Peshawar’s own campus. This kind of train-the-trainer or institution-to-institution capacity building approach can have a multiplying effect, as participating institutions apply what they learn to develop their own incubation programmes for their respective student and entrepreneurial communities.

The training’s theme, From Ideas to Enterprise, reflects the core mission shared across incubation focused institutions, helping move early stage concepts through the structured development needed to become genuinely sustainable businesses. This framing underscores that the session is less about promoting specific business ideas and more about building the institutional infrastructure and processes needed to nurture such ideas effectively over time.

BIC UoP has continued to position itself as leading, connecting, and strengthening incubation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with this capacity building training adding to its role as a hub not just for its own students’ entrepreneurial ventures but for building broader institutional capability across commerce education institutions throughout the province.
