SeedRise KP Fund Pre-Launch Event to Feature LMKR MD Faisal Jamil

SeedRise is hosting its pre-launch event for the KP Fund, themed From Evidence to Investment, scheduled for Saturday, the fifth of September, twenty twenty six, running from eleven in the morning until two in the afternoon at Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar. The event will feature Faisal Jamil, Managing Director of LMKR, as a panelist, giving attendees direct access to a perspective on what it takes to back early stage ventures specifically within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Organisers framed the event around the idea that building the startup ecosystem requires more than capital, requiring instead the kind of institutional credibility that makes others take the province seriously. This framing positions SeedRise’s launch as concerned not only with mobilising financial resources but also with establishing the broader institutional trust needed to attract sustained investor and stakeholder engagement within KP’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

LMKR operates three National Incubation Centers across Pakistan and sits at the intersection of enterprise technology and startup development, giving Jamil a vantage point informed by direct involvement in incubation infrastructure across multiple regions of the country. His perspective on what it takes to back early stage ventures in KP specifically is expected to draw on this broader operational experience running incubation programmes elsewhere in Pakistan.

The SeedRise KP Fund’s pre-launch event brings together a notable set of institutional backers, including Institute of Management Sciences, The Asia Foundation, and LMKT, alongside participation from figures connected to NIC Peshawar and Business Incubation Center at University of Peshawar. This combination of academic, philanthropic, and incubation sector stakeholders reflects a coordinated effort to build institutional support for the fund ahead of its formal launch.

The event adds to a growing wave of activity aimed at strengthening Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem, following recent developments including NIC Peshawar’s InvestLab programme and various institutional partnerships across the province’s incubation centres. SeedRise’s focus on evidence based investment decision making, reflected in its event theme, suggests the fund intends to bring a more structured, data informed approach to early stage investing within KP’s developing startup ecosystem.
