BridgeStart Pakistan, in collaboration with AWAJ, the Tokyo based Asia Web3 Alliance Japan, is inviting promising Pakistani startups to apply for a focused workshop built around direct engagement with Japan’s market, extending the two organizations’ existing relationship following AWAJ’s earlier Tokyo summit that brought together government officials, startups, and investors from both countries to address Japan’s engineer shortage using Pakistan’s technology talent pool. Where that earlier summit focused on institutional and diplomatic groundwork, this workshop shifts toward direct startup participation, giving individual companies a structured route into the corridor AWAJ has been working to build.
Selected startups will gain access to corporate meetings with Japanese corporations and investors, along with dedicated corporate, investor, and founder partnership meetings designed to move conversations beyond introductions and toward concrete collaboration. The workshop also includes engagements with Japanese startups, incubators, and accelerators, giving Pakistani founders exposure to how comparable companies operate within Japan’s innovation ecosystem, an environment shaped by distinct regulatory frameworks, investor expectations, and market dynamics that differ meaningfully from Pakistan’s domestic startup landscape.
A flagship VC, investor, and corporate event, paired with a press conference, rounds out the workshop’s offerings, giving participating startups a platform for visibility that extends beyond one on one meetings into broader ecosystem recognition. FinTech, artificial intelligence, and blockchain have been named as the sectors specifically encouraged to apply, aligning closely with the themes AWAJ has emphasized in its broader Pakistan-Japan corridor building efforts, including data governance frameworks, yen denominated stablecoins, and token regulation under Japan’s Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
Through this initiative, BridgeStart Pakistan continues to create global pathways for Pakistani startups by connecting founders with international markets, investors, strategic partners, and leading ecosystem players to support expansion, collaboration, and long term growth. Interested startups can apply through this link by 15 October 2026. The workshop draws on a wide network of ecosystem partners, including National Incubation Center Lahore, National Incubation Center Karachi, Daftarkhwan, COLABS, Endeavor, and Kickstart, alongside support from Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Ignite National Technology Fund, adding Japan to BridgeStart Pakistan’s expanding map of international expansion destinations following its earlier programs targeting the Gulf Cooperation Council and the United Kingdom.
