Paklaunch is hosting its first Boston Meetup on 24th September, extending the community’s US footprint beyond the cities it has more regularly hosted events in, including New York and San Francisco. Founded on April 29, 2020 by Aly Fahd as a single WhatsApp group aimed at investing in emerging markets and mentoring startups, Paklaunch has grown into an entrepreneurial community of more than 400,000 members across 30 or more countries, connecting founders and investors through conferences, meetups, and programs spanning nine countries and more than 10 cities, with Boston now marking a new addition to that growing map.
The meetup follows a wave of Paklaunch city gatherings this month alone, including an earlier Dubai networking meetup bringing together founders, investors, and operators from the GCC region, and the organization’s larger flagship UNConference’26.2 gathering scheduled for New York in October. Introducing a Boston meetup at this particular moment extends Paklaunch’s presence into a city with its own substantial, longstanding technology and startup community, anchored by institutions such as Boston New Technology, which has brought together founders, engineers, investors, and operators for more than 15 years across a base of over 45,000 active participants, giving Paklaunch’s Pakistani diaspora-focused community a genuinely dense local tech ecosystem to plug directly into.
Organizers framed the event around an evening of conversations, new connections, and bringing the Paklaunch community together in Boston specifically, positioning the meetup as a relationship-building gathering rather than a structured pitch or demo event. That framing is consistent with how Paklaunch has run similar first-time city meetups elsewhere, typically prioritizing informal networking and community formation in a new location before layering in more structured investor or founder programming in subsequent editions.
