easyPII, one of five Pakistani startups showcased by Ignite with support from Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication at GISEC Global 2026, has signed a memorandum of understanding with EliteVAD, a UAE-based cybersecurity distributor headquartered in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The agreement marks a concrete commercial outcome from Pakistan’s delegation, moving beyond the showcase and networking value of exhibiting at GISEC into an actual signed partnership, joining a wave of similar MoUs signed on the sidelines of this year’s event, including agreements between Ansen Technology and PwC Middle East, and Cyble and the UAE Cyber Security Council.
The partnership will help businesses across the UAE achieve and maintain compliance with UAE PDPL, ISO 27001, and GDPR through automated checks, continuous monitoring, and AI-guided remediation. Regulatory compliance has become an increasingly urgent commercial need across the Gulf as the UAE’s Personal Data Protection Law tightens enforcement expectations for organizations handling personal data, giving easyPII’s specific focus on automated, continuous compliance monitoring direct relevance to a market actively working through the operational demands of newly enforced privacy regulation.
The collaboration combines easyPII’s cybersecurity experience and technology with EliteVAD’s advisory expertise and established presence in the Emirates, a pairing that reflects a distribution model increasingly common among Pakistani cybersecurity startups entering Gulf markets, where local advisory and channel expertise matters as much as the underlying technology itself. EliteVAD’s own track record includes prior distribution partnerships spanning network security, firewalls, and threat detection technologies showcased at events including GITEX Global, giving easyPII access to an already-established regional sales and advisory channel rather than requiring the startup to build UAE market relationships from scratch.
Ignite framed the milestone around Pakistan’s broader trajectory at GISEC, moving from showcasing solutions to securing partnerships, positioning easyPII’s MoU as evidence that Pakistan’s cybersecurity ecosystem is translating international exhibition presence into tangible commercial outcomes. The deal echoes the precedent set by Securitanium’s own GISEC 2025 experience, when the Pakistani cybersecurity startup signed a distributor deal spanning Bahrain, the UAE, Ireland, and New Zealand, reinforcing that sustained Pakistani participation at major cybersecurity events is beginning to produce a repeatable pattern of cross-border commercial deals rather than one-off appearances.
