NIC Karachi will host an online curriculum session titled Regulatory Compliance, Navigating Industrial Regulations, scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The session will feature Saadia Kazmi, Director of Engineering and Quality at WATSUN Engineering and Solutions, who will help founders understand the regulatory landscape affecting industrial solutions and identify potential compliance challenges before they become obstacles later in a product’s development. The session is designed for founders building in industrial automation and related hardware focused spaces, where regulatory requirements can significantly shape product design decisions from an early stage.
Participants will explore relevant local and international compliance standards, including ISO, NEQS and IEC, gaining a clearer understanding of the frameworks that govern industrial products both within Pakistan and in international markets. The session will guide founders through the process of mapping these requirements against their own products, helping them identify where compliance risks are most likely to arise and develop an initial roadmap for addressing them well before a product reaches later stages of development or market launch.
Beyond understanding the standards themselves, the session will also cover practical approaches to engaging directly with regulators, an aspect of compliance that many early stage founders find unfamiliar or intimidating. By framing compliance as a tool that can support product readiness rather than merely a hurdle to clear, the session aims to help founders in industrial automation view regulatory engagement as an integrated part of their development process rather than an afterthought handled only once a product is near completion.
The session is open for registration through the provided link and is being held under NIC Karachi’s Cohort 16 programming, with continued support from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, Ignite National Technology Fund, and Tech Destination Pakistan, along with private sector collaborators LMKT, LuckyOne Mall and Orbit Ventures. Alongside NIC Karachi’s other recent sessions on legal and taxation, technology stack selection and executive presence, this session extends the cohort’s curriculum into the specialized regulatory considerations that founders building industrial and hardware based products must navigate as they move toward market readiness.
