Sindh Sarmaya Programme Holds First Session at NIC Hyderabad With SEED Ventures

Published on

The Sindh Sarmaya Programme has taken its first step in Hyderabad, with NIC Hyderabad hosting the programme’s opening session, organized by SEED Ventures. The session brought together aspiring entrepreneurs from across the region for a closer look at the opportunities and support available through the programme, marking the formal start of what is intended to be an ongoing effort to help more local entrepreneurs move from early ideas toward functioning, sustainable businesses. For a city like Hyderabad, which does not always receive the same level of startup programming attention as Pakistan’s larger metropolitan centers, hosting the first session of a new provincial initiative carries added significance, signaling that structured entrepreneurial support is extending further into Sindh rather than remaining concentrated in Karachi alone.

The session opened up conversations around building sustainable businesses, accessing financial support, and navigating the various resources available to entrepreneurs as they work to take their ideas forward. For many aspiring founders, particularly those outside the major startup hubs, uncertainty about where to find funding or which institutional resources actually exist can be one of the biggest barriers standing between an idea and a functioning business, well before questions of product or market fit even come into play. By dedicating the programme’s first session specifically to these practical, foundational questions, organizers appear to be addressing that uncertainty head on, rather than assuming entrepreneurs already know how to navigate the funding and support landscape on their own.

SEED Ventures’ role in organizing the session points to a collaborative structure behind the Sindh Sarmaya Programme, with the organization working alongside NIC Hyderabad to bring the initiative to life on the ground. This kind of partnership between a dedicated venture-focused organization and an established incubation center can give a new programme both the credibility of an existing institutional presence and the specialized focus that a more targeted organization like SEED Ventures can bring to a specific mandate, in this case supporting entrepreneurs through the Sindh Sarmaya Programme specifically.

NIC Hyderabad described the session as a meaningful start to a programme focused on helping more entrepreneurs turn potential into viable, growing businesses, framing it as the opening chapter of a longer initiative rather than a standalone event. With the first session now complete, attention will likely turn to how the programme builds on this initial momentum, whether through follow-up sessions, direct funding opportunities, or deeper mentorship for the entrepreneurs who took part. The event was supported by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, Ignite National Technology Fund, PTCL, LMKT and Tech Destination Pakistan, continuing the same institutional backing that underpins much of NIC Hyderabad’s regular programming.
