Startup Kodifly Offers SpatialSense Free For Homes And Shelter Projects Helping People In Need

Published on

Kodifly, a resident startup at the National Science and Technology Park, is making its artificial intelligence powered platform SpatialSense free for any site that is building homes and shelter for people in need. Co-Founder Muhammad Saad Shahid Anwel announced the move, and non-profits that take part will also receive free civil consultation alongside the software. The park shared the announcement, describing the startup as one that is giving back.

The offer is open to projects that provide housing or shelter, and to non-profits building for people. Anyone working on such a project can message him directly on LinkedIn, and the team will provide the software at no cost, along with civil consultation where the request falls within the team’s expertise. That limit matters, since the consultation is a service from a small team and not an open ended commitment. For charities and community groups that build on tight budgets, access to professional grade software without a license fee can reduce costs that would otherwise take money away from construction itself.

Muhammad Saad Shahid Anwel and his co-founder Henry Wong explained the reasoning behind the decision. Artificial intelligence has changed how the team works, he said, making it far more efficient so that it can reach more people and give more back. It is helping the company do things that were not possible before, but in his view the technology only makes sense if people benefit from it in everyday ways, with better lives as the result. SpatialSense now has its own page, which went live on the day of the announcement.

For the National Science and Technology Park, the announcement shows a startup from its community using its commercial product for social benefit. Startups often give away or discount their tools for charitable use, and a free offer to housing projects can also introduce the software to a wider group of builders and engineers. The announcement did not say how long the offer will last or how many projects the company can support, so interested groups should contact the founders directly to confirm terms. For organizations building homes for people who need them, the offer is a chance to try new technology at no cost.
