Air Link Communication Limited (PSX: AIRLINK) has moved forward with a significant expansion initiative through the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary named ZEXO Technologies (Private) Limited. The decision was communicated to the exchange following a board meeting held on December 1, 2025, marking another step in Air Link’s ongoing effort to diversify and extend its presence across multiple technology-driven segments in Pakistan’s evolving digital and electronics landscape.

The formation of ZEXO Technologies reflects a strategic shift aimed at strengthening Air Link’s operational footprint in areas that continue to show strong market demand. As part of this initiative, Air Link will invest Rs200 million into the new company. This investment will be structured through the issuance of 20 million ordinary shares valued at Rs10 each, establishing a solid capital foundation for the subsidiary as it begins formal operations.

ZEXO Technologies is being set up with a wide mandate, allowing it to operate across several interconnected verticals within the tech sector. Its scope includes manufacturing, import, export, distribution, retail, and e-commerce activities. These operations will focus on smartphones, laptops, electronic accessories, home appliances, and various technology-centric products sourced from selected additional brands. Through this subsidiary, Air Link aims to reinforce its engagement with both consumer and enterprise segments by offering a diversified product lineup backed by expanded supply chain capabilities.

The creation of this subsidiary aligns with ongoing shifts in consumer preferences, where demand for electronics, smart devices, and connected appliances continues to rise across Pakistan. Air Link’s decision to broaden its involvement in manufacturing and distribution through a dedicated entity reflects the growing importance of localized operations, especially as the country experiences increased interest in digital adoption and device accessibility. By enabling ZEXO Technologies to participate in multiple facets of the product lifecycle—from production and import to retail and online commerce—Air Link is positioning itself to better respond to the needs of a dynamic market environment.

The move also enhances Air Link’s ability to collaborate with additional brands and expand its product ecosystem. With a structure that supports both physical retail channels and digital commerce platforms, ZEXO Technologies is poised to engage consumers through diverse touchpoints, offering a mix of established electronics products and new technology-driven solutions. This flexibility will help strengthen Air Link’s position among distributors and retailers while creating opportunities for deeper integration across various operational layers.

Air Link’s announcement signals continued activity in Pakistan’s tech and electronics sector, where companies are increasingly exploring new avenues to widen their reach and optimize operations. The incorporation of ZEXO Technologies adds to this momentum, establishing a new entity equipped to navigate the expanding demand for devices, accessories, and home appliances while contributing to the broader industry landscape.

The establishment of ZEXO Technologies marks a new chapter for Air Link as it leverages its experience in device distribution and retail to support a more extensive portfolio under a dedicated subsidiary. The investment and structural approach reflect Air Link’s commitment to exploring business opportunities that enhance its role within the technology market and support long-term operational growth.
