CEGA Karachi Welcomes Batch 4 Post-Production Trainees

Published on

CEGA Karachi held its orientation session for Batch 4 of its Post-Production and 3D Animation training program, bringing together a new group of trainees to introduce them to the learning journey ahead. The orientation gave participants an overview of the training environment and the skills they will be developing over the coming months, marking the formal start of the batch’s programme rather than the beginning of hands on training itself.

The batch is structured around two distinct tracks, covering post production and 3D animation, each opening up different but connected paths into creative and technical work. The 3D animation track focuses on shaping visuals and bringing characters to life, giving trainees the foundational skills needed to build animated content from the ground up. The post production track centres on how creative projects are polished into their final form, covering the technical processes that take raw creative material and refine it into a finished product ready for release or distribution.

Together, these two tracks open up possibilities across animation, gaming, visual effects and digital content creation, reflecting the interconnected nature of these creative industries, where skills developed in one area frequently carry over into adjacent fields. Trainees emerging from either track are positioned to pursue work across a range of related creative and technical roles rather than being limited to a single, narrowly defined career path.

CEGA Karachi’s continued intake of new training batches reflects its role in building a pipeline of skilled talent for Pakistan’s growing animation, gaming and digital content sectors, areas that have historically lacked the kind of structured, hands on training infrastructure available in more established creative industries elsewhere. With Batch 4 now underway, CEGA Karachi described the orientation as the first step in a longer creative journey for the incoming trainees, with the more substantive skill building work still ahead as the programme progresses.

The training programme is supported by Ignite and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, consistent with the institutional backing behind Pakistan’s broader push to develop specialised talent pipelines in emerging creative and technology sectors through dedicated, sector specific training programmes like the one CEGA Karachi continues to run for successive batches of trainees.
