Farmdar has secured strategic funding from ADB Ventures, the venture capital arm of Asian Development Bank, marking a significant step in its mission to expand AI and satellite-powered agriculture solutions across emerging Asia. Headquartered in Singapore and operating across several countries, Farmdar develops technology-driven tools that help farmers and agribusinesses enhance productivity, strengthen climate resilience, and make informed decisions backed by data.
With this new investment, Farmdar will accelerate deployment of its precision agriculture products across South and Southeast Asia, expanding support for farming communities and allied industries in regions facing growing climate volatility and supply chain challenges. The partnership also opens new opportunities for collaboration, market access, and applied research through ADB’s strong regional presence.
Arsalan Farooquee from ADB Ventures highlighted the impact potential of the partnership, noting that Farmdar’s use of satellite data and AI analytics directly addresses critical agricultural and supply chain challenges. He added that working with Farmdar creates an opportunity to advance climate adaptation solutions at scale across Southeast Asia.
Farmdar Co-founder and CEO Muhammed Bukhari shared that the collaboration strengthens the company’s long-term commitment to Asia. He said that partnering with an institution like ADB will support Farmdar in expanding its presence in markets such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, enabling wider adoption of sustainable and inclusive agriculture technologies.
The investment round also included participation from existing investors Indus Valley Capital and Moment Ventures, reinforcing broad support for Farmdar’s growth direction. The funding will be used to strengthen the company’s footprint in current markets while initiating pilots in new regions across Asia.
Farmdar offers solutions for multiple agricultural segments, including seed and crop protection, fertilizers, machinery, agritech platforms, food and beverage producers, and financial institutions. Its flagship products include CropScan™, a satellite-driven crop insights platform that enables agribusinesses to plan with accuracy, and YieldPro™, a monitoring tool that helps farmers increase yields, optimize inputs, and build resilience against climate change. These solutions are already delivering value across Thailand and other parts of the region, supporting both smallholder farmers and large-scale enterprises.
Farmdar’s clients include global companies such as Corteva Agriscience and Bayer Crop Science, national organizations like Thai Roong Ruang Group, dozens of food producers including major sugar mills, and financial institutions like Bank of Punjab. With teams in Thailand, Colombia, India, Brazil, and Pakistan, the company is positioned to continue expanding its technology footprint across diverse agricultural ecosystems.
By leveraging space technologies and data-driven insights, Farmdar aims to address productivity gaps, reduce risks, and help communities adapt to changing environmental conditions.
