Futurizm at UMT: A Transformative Force in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

In the dynamic landscape of entrepreneurship at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Futurizm, an AI-Powered Tech Incubator, has emerged as a transformative force since its establishment in 2021. Functioning as a vital part of ORIC/UMT, this incubation center has become synonymous with innovation and unwavering support for the university’s entrepreneurs and startups.

In a relatively short span, Futurizm has achieved remarkable milestones, reshaping the definition of success within the entrepreneurial domain. Its impact on the university’s ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship is undeniably significant. The incubator has not only incubated 43 startups but has also contributed to the creation of over 410 jobs, with a particular focus on employing students from within the university.

One of the key highlights is the collective revenue generation of over 135 million PKR by the incubated startups, showcasing their tangible impact on the economic landscape. Furthermore, Futurizm’s commitment to personalized guidance is evident through more than 220 one-on-one mentorship sessions, providing invaluable support to nurture and shape the startups.

The incubation program’s success is underscored by the launch of four cohorts, each contributing to the fostering of innovation and growth within the startup community. Futurizm has played a pivotal role in organizing 8 Business Plan Competitions and Challenges, engaging over 88 startup teams and providing a platform for creative ideation.

Celebrating the entrepreneurial glory that has emerged from Futurizm, 08 success stories of incubated startups have been published, emphasizing the real-world impact of the incubation center. These achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the steadfast support of UMT’s distinguished leadership.
