Karachi Hosts Batch 2 of Unity and Unreal Engine Training by CEGA in Collaboration with Ignite and Hum Network

Published on

Karachi has officially welcomed Batch 2 of CEGA’s Unity and Unreal Engine training programs, marking another step in the city’s expanding interactive technology landscape. The Orientation Day signaled the beginning of a structured and hands-on learning journey for aspiring developers aiming to enter Pakistan’s growing gaming ecosystem. With a focus that extends beyond simply learning software tools, the program is designed to equip participants with practical exposure to real-world development environments and production pipelines.

The training initiative is being conducted in collaboration with Ignite – National Technology Fund under Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, and is led by Hum Network Ltd. The partnership reflects continued efforts to strengthen technical capacity in emerging digital sectors, particularly game development and interactive media. Through this collaboration, the program aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry execution by introducing structured workflows, collaborative practices, and project-based learning aligned with global standards.

Unity and Unreal Engine remain among the most widely used game development engines worldwide, powering projects across console, PC, mobile, and immersive platforms. By centering its curriculum around these engines, CEGA is positioning participants to work within internationally relevant frameworks while contributing to local industry growth. The emphasis throughout the program is on execution — understanding development pipelines, team coordination, asset integration, and delivering polished outputs that reflect professional benchmarks.

Karachi’s technology ecosystem has been steadily expanding, with increasing interest in gaming, esports, animation, and interactive experiences. Programs like this contribute to building a skilled talent pool capable of supporting both domestic studios and international outsourcing opportunities. Each new batch adds momentum to Pakistan’s broader push toward interactive technology, reinforcing the importance of structured training pathways for young developers seeking entry into competitive digital markets.

CEGA’s growing network of partners further supports the initiative’s industry orientation. Collaborating partners include Section Soft, Ideofuzion, Sablo Studio, LCE, LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship, Techsol Space, and Agon Esports. These organizations bring experience from software development, entrepreneurship, esports, and creative production, helping participants gain insight into multiple segments of the gaming and digital media ecosystem. Such cross-sector involvement strengthens the practical exposure available to trainees and connects them to a wider professional community.

The program also brings together key individuals contributing to its execution and mentorship, including Fawad Pirzada, Danial Shaikh, Taha Shuja Hyder, Zehra Qazizada, Shah Abdullah, and Muhammad Hilal. Their involvement reflects a collaborative effort to nurture technical talent and support a sustainable pipeline of game developers within Pakistan.

As Karachi continues to establish itself as a hub for technology and creative industries, initiatives like CEGA’s Unity and Unreal Engine training programs are playing a foundational role in shaping the next generation of developers. By combining institutional support, industry partnerships, and hands-on technical instruction, the program reinforces the city’s position within Pakistan’s evolving digital economy.
