Kashf Foundation’s Women Entrepreneurship Awards 2026 Recognises Women Founders Across Eight Categories

Published on

Kashf Foundation held its Women Entrepreneurship Awards 2026 in partnership with Jubilee Life Insurance Company and EFU Life Assurance, bringing together women founders from across Pakistan to be recognised for building enterprises that have generated lasting economic and social impact. The event celebrated entrepreneurial achievement across eight categories spanning innovation, sustainability, digital enterprise, education, heritage crafts, and community development.

The evening featured keynote remarks by Sima Kamil, former President and Chief Executive Officer of United Bank Limited and the first woman Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, alongside documentary screenings on Kashf clients and conversations on the structural barriers women continue to navigate while building and scaling successful businesses. The programming was designed to move beyond ceremonial recognition and into substantive dialogue about what it actually takes for women entrepreneurs in Pakistan to access resources, markets, and institutional support.

Kashf Foundation, founded by Roshaneh Zafar, has over its three decades of operation reached more than 9 million women, creating pathways toward financial independence through microfinance and enterprise development. Zafar, speaking at the event, noted that when women are trusted with resources and opportunity, the impact extends well beyond the individual business — reaching families and communities in ways that produce durable social change.

The partnership between Kashf Foundation and Loug for the awards reflects a growing convergence between Pakistan’s women-focused financial institutions and the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem, bringing the stories of grassroots women founders into spaces where they are recognised not as beneficiaries of development programs but as entrepreneurs whose contributions to the economy deserve the same visibility as any other business achievement.
