Young dentists in Karachi looking to eventually run their own practices will have the opportunity to learn the business side of clinic ownership at a one day workshop being organised by the AI Facilitation Cell of Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry on the twenty fourth of August, twenty twenty six. The session, titled From Dentist to Clinic Owner, has been designed as an artificial intelligence powered entrepreneurship bootcamp aimed specifically at young dentists who are considering the transition from clinical practice into practice ownership.
The workshop will take place at the Mini Auditorium on the third floor of Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry, running from half past ten in the morning until one in the afternoon. Registration for the session is free, though the organisers have indicated that slots are limited, making early registration important for dentists who want to secure a place. The event has been structured as a hands on, open house session rather than a lecture based format, with participants expected to work through real world exercises during the course of the workshop.

The bootcamp is being held under the patronage of Professor Doctor Navid Rashid Qureshi, Principal of the College of Dentistry, with Doctor Rizwan Hassan, who holds a BDS and an MBA in Hospital and Health Care Management, leading the session as head of the AI Facilitation Cell. The facilitators for the workshop include Doctor Tauseef Ahmed, Associate Professor of Oral Pathology and a practising dental clinic owner, and Doctor Abid Khursheed, Head of the Department of Periodontology and owner of The Dental Suite, while Doctor Abdul Kareem, an FCPS II Trainee in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry, will serve as moderator for the session.
