Nabeel Qadeer Named President of TiE Lahore, Driving Pakistani Startup Growth

TiE Lahore, the local chapter of TiE Global, has announced the appointment of Nabeel Qadeer as its new President. Established in 2002 by Mr. Syed Babar Ali, TiE Lahore has played a pivotal role in nurturing entrepreneurship in Pakistan.

With a distinguished legacy that includes past presidents such as Dr. Khalid Javed, Monis Rahman, Salim Ghauri, Naeem Zamindar, and Humayun Mazhar, TiE Lahore has significantly shaped the national entrepreneurship landscape.

Nabeel Qadeer, the newly appointed President, brings over a decade of experience in Pakistan’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. His journey involves close interaction with over 3,500 startup founders, seasoned business owners, angel investors, and venture capitalists globally, providing him with a comprehensive perspective on the essential elements for elevating the local entrepreneurship ecosystem to global standards.

Having actively participated in the tech sector, government-backed youth entrepreneurship programs, and digital/IT skills initiatives, Mr. Qadeer understands the significance of upskilling the youth and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset to boost economic activity in Pakistan.

In his statement, Nabeel Qadeer emphasized his belief that entrepreneurs are the builders of nations, with the potential to drive consistent and upward cycles of income generation. He envisions TiE Lahore as a platform where experienced professionals can dedicate their time to the growth of startup founders, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and mentorship.

Qadeer expressed gratitude to the outgoing President, Humayun Mazhar, and his team for their continuous support. He also acknowledged TiE Global leadership for entrusting him with this crucial role.
