NIC Hyderabad Welcomes PAIDAR Funding Programme Session to Guide Founders on Grants and Support

Published on

National Incubation Center Hyderabad convened a focused engagement session aimed at connecting founders with substantive funding opportunities through the recently introduced PAIDAR programme. Organised in collaboration with Digitarq, which is acting as the outreach partner for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization European Union-funded matching grants initiative, the session provided participating entrepreneurs with an overview of potential funding of up to €200,000. This gathering was crafted to help founders navigate eligibility criteria, application insights and strategic positioning for securing international grant support relevant to their ventures.

The event underscored NIC Hyderabad’s ongoing role as a conduit between early-stage technology entrepreneurs and global funding mechanisms, an increasingly important function as startups seek to bridge gaps between initial product development and long-term, sustainable growth. By hosting sessions that unpack grant structures, application frameworks and funding best practices, the incubation centre aims to equip founders with practical understanding of how external financial resources can complement domestic support systems and investor networks.

Throughout the session, participants were guided through detailed explanations of the PAIDAR programme’s objectives, the scope of financial support available and strategic considerations necessary for successful engagement with international funds. Founders were encouraged to assess how their solutions align with the programme’s criteria, including potential impact, scalability and readiness to leverage grant investments to accelerate market entry or product refinement.

NIC Hyderabad has positioned itself as a central pillar in Sindh’s entrepreneurial landscape since its inception, acting as both an educational resource and operational support hub for emerging ventures. It operates under the broader framework of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Ignite — National Technology Fund, and functions alongside a consortium led by PTCL and LMKT. The centre offers founders structured access to mentorship, operational insights and connection opportunities that span corporate partners, investor networks and academic collaborators.

The engagement session added to a series of activities at the centre designed to strengthen startup readiness and ecosystem maturity. In recent weeks, NIC Hyderabad has facilitated outreach programmes, technical workshops and cohort activities that support founders at various phases of their entrepreneurial journey, from ideation and validation to incubation and early commercial traction. These engagements are part of a wider strategy to ensure that founders are not only exposed to funding pathways but also equipped with the skills and strategic frameworks needed to make the most of them.

By hosting an informative session focused on international grant funding, NIC Hyderabad reinforced its commitment to opening channels that extend beyond local resources. For many startups operating within Pakistan’s fast-evolving technology ecosystem, access to external capital and grant programmes can be a pivotal factor in scaling operations and expanding market reach. The event also reflected the centre’s broader emphasis on practical, outcome-oriented programming, where learning is directly tied to actionable opportunities for founders.

As the PAIDAR programme and similar initiatives gain visibility among founders, NIC Hyderabad’s role in contextualising and disseminating such opportunities remains integral to strengthening Pakistan’s startup ecosystem. Through continued engagement, education and facilitation of access to international financial support, the incubation centre contributes to building an ecosystem that is increasingly competitive, connected and capable of drawing on a diversified set of resources to support innovation and entrepreneurship.
