NIC Karachi Startups Showcase AI and Ed-Tech Solutions at Karachi Ed-Tech Fair

Published on

NIC Karachi recently took its startup cohort to the Ed-Tech Fair held in Karachi, where emerging ventures from the incubator presented cutting-edge solutions aimed at reshaping how education is delivered and experienced. The event drew audiences looking for technology-driven answers to longstanding challenges in Pakistan’s education sector, and NIC Karachi’s startups delivered on that front with a range of products spanning artificial intelligence, robotics, and inclusive learning tools.

Among the standout presentations was Haprow, an artificial intelligence-powered robot developed with the incubation support of NIC Karachi. Built to function as a virtual learning companion, Haprow is specifically designed to support children with autism by making the learning experience more interactive and engaging. The robot also features an ultraviolet technology variant capable of disinfecting spaces by eliminating germs and pathogens, adding a layer of utility that extends well beyond the classroom.

Beyond Haprow, the fair featured a broader range of NIC Karachi startups working across the education technology space. These included platforms offering fully online classes with real-time feedback systems, as well as ventures developing STEM-based educational content that enables coding instruction at the primary school level. Taken together, the showcased solutions reflected a shift in thinking — toward education that is more accessible, more measurable, and more inclusive for learners who have historically been underserved by conventional schooling models.

The Express Tribune covered the event, recognising the efforts of NIC Karachi’s startups in advancing the Ed-Tech ecosystem. NIC Karachi acknowledged the publication for helping amplify the work being done within its cohort and for bringing wider public attention to what Pakistan’s early-stage education technology ventures are quietly building.
