NIC Lahore Invites Applications for Cohort 3 Offering PKR 5 Million Grants and Global Exposure

Published on

National Incubation Center Lahore (NICL) has announced that applications for its Cohort 3 are now officially open, inviting aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups from across Pakistan to join its innovation-driven ecosystem. Backed by Ignite – National Technology Fund and the Ministry of IT and Telecom, NICL continues to position itself as one of the country’s premier innovation hubs under the Tech Destination Pakistan initiative.

Since its establishment, NICL has played a critical role in nurturing Pakistan’s startup landscape, combining mentorship, funding, and global exposure to help founders translate ideas into scalable ventures. With over 350 startups supported, 10,000 jobs created, and PKR 5 billion in investment mobilized, NICL has become a cornerstone of Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Through Cohort 3, the center aims to further strengthen its impact by offering early-stage founders the opportunity to accelerate their growth through a comprehensive support program. Selected startups will receive a seed grant of up to PKR 5 million, funded by Ignite, along with mentorship from leading local and international experts, access to extensive networks, and exclusive technology credits worth USD 100,000.

NICL’s latest program emphasizes inclusion and innovation through specialized tracks in DeepTech, ClimateTech, and women-led ventures, ensuring that emerging entrepreneurs addressing critical global and local challenges are equipped with the right tools and exposure. In addition to local resources, the program also provides a gateway to international opportunities — selected startups will spend four weeks in the United States at Plug & Play, one of the world’s most renowned innovation platforms, to gain global visibility and investor connections.

Previous NICL cohorts have demonstrated tangible success. Six of its incubated startups have collectively raised over USD 1 million in investment, validating the center’s approach to structured entrepreneurial development. By combining capacity building with funding access and market linkages, NICL continues to deliver measurable outcomes for Pakistan’s innovation economy.

Cohort 3 continues the legacy of partnerships that have fueled NICL’s impact. Collaborators include industry leaders such as HBL, NETSOL, Plug and Play, BNU, Daftarkhwan, Accelerate Prosperity, and WECI Lahore — each contributing to creating a robust ecosystem of mentorship, research, and commercialization support.

NICL’s initiative is closely aligned with the Ministry of IT and Telecom’s broader agenda to position Pakistan as a regional innovation hub. Under the Tech Destination Pakistan banner, Ignite and the National Incubation Centers network have accelerated digital transformation by enabling thousands of young innovators to build sustainable technology ventures across multiple sectors.

The application window for NICL Cohort 3 remains open until October 26, providing an opportunity for entrepreneurs to join a program designed to turn bold ideas into market-ready solutions. With a focus on high-impact innovation, social inclusion, and global competitiveness, NICL continues to empower Pakistan’s next generation of entrepreneurs to build for the world.
