NIC Peshawar Launches Cohort 15 to Commercialize Final Year Projects

Published on

Final year projects (FYPs) in Pakistan no longer have to end with submission. NIC Peshawar is inviting students to take their innovative ideas beyond academia by turning their FYPs into viable startups. Cohort 15 applications are now open, offering students the opportunity to validate, build, and scale their projects with professional guidance.

The initiative encourages students who have developed real solutions, addressed genuine problems, or tested new concepts during their final year to explore commercialization options. NIC Peshawar provides mentorship, resources, and support to help young innovators navigate the journey from concept to market-ready product.

By joining Cohort 15, students gain access to a structured program designed to accelerate their ideas, offering insights into product development, market validation, and scaling strategies. The program aims to bridge the gap between academic projects and real-world business opportunities, empowering young entrepreneurs to launch startups that can make a tangible impact.

NIC Peshawar emphasizes that turning FYPs into startups not only benefits students by providing practical experience and entrepreneurial exposure but also contributes to Pakistan’s growing innovation ecosystem. With support from industry partners and mentors, participants can refine their ideas, develop sustainable business models, and position their startups for future growth.

Students interested in applying can visit bit.ly/NICCohort15 to submit their applications. The program highlights the potential of Pakistani youth to transform academic work into meaningful commercial ventures, fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the country.

Key partners supporting the initiative include LMKR, Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, Orbit Startups, Sybrid, IM Sciences, Rehman Medical Institute, CECOS University, and Frontier Platinum. These collaborations provide participants with access to networks, expertise, and industry resources necessary for turning promising projects into scalable startups.

Through Cohort 15, NIC Peshawar aims to demonstrate that final year projects can serve as the foundation for successful entrepreneurial journeys. By validating ideas, building products, and scaling operations, students can take ownership of their innovation and contribute to Pakistan’s tech-driven growth story.
