NSTP Hosts National Workshop Balochistan Delegation for Ecosystem Exposure

Published on

The National Science and Technology Park hosted a delegation from National Workshop Balochistan, comprising over 150 participants including university students, faculty members, youth activists, media representatives, and government officers from across Balochistan. The visit formed part of the Workshop’s national exposure programme, an initiative designed to give participants from the province firsthand insight into Pakistan’s leading innovation and technology ecosystem, extending exposure to national-level technology infrastructure beyond what might typically be accessible within Balochistan itself.

The delegation was welcomed by Engineer Amer Sheikh, Director of NSTP, who delivered a comprehensive briefing on the Park’s role in fostering technology development, startup incubation, industry-academia collaboration, and innovation-led economic growth more broadly. The briefing highlighted NSTP’s integrated ecosystem structure and its national partnerships, giving participants a sense of how the Park functions as a connective hub supporting technology-driven ventures across a range of sectors rather than focusing narrowly on any single industry vertical.

Following the briefing, participants were taken on a guided tour of the NSTP ecosystem, visiting resident startups including OrbitEd, LearnOBots, and Kodifly, along with Hatch 8, NSTP’s flagship pre-incubation facility. The delegation also toured CEMTECH and the NCAI Experience Center, gaining direct exposure to deep tech innovation, artificial intelligence, robotics, and technology commercialisation initiatives being developed within the ecosystem, giving visitors a concrete sense of the kind of technical work being carried out at the Park beyond what a briefing alone could convey.

NSTP continues to facilitate strategic national engagements of this kind, connecting communities from across Pakistan with its innovation ecosystem and fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and broader participation in technology-led development. The visit reflects a continuing effort to widen access to Pakistan’s more established technology hubs for participants from regions such as Balochistan, whose exposure to this kind of ecosystem might otherwise remain limited without dedicated national outreach programmes of this nature.
