Ayesha Ali, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic, highlighted the country’s burgeoning startup ecosystem as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship, especially in e-commerce, fintech, and health technology. Speaking at a webinar titled “IT Landscape of Pakistan,” Ambassador Ali underscored Pakistan’s vibrant IT outsourcing industry, offering cost-effective solutions in software development, digital marketing, and customer support.
Organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Prague in collaboration with the Czech Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Lahore-based software house, Code District, the webinar attracted over 50 companies from both Pakistan and the Czech Republic. Ambassador Ali emphasized Pakistan’s growing prominence as a preferred destination for IT outsourcing services.
Acknowledging the Czech Republic’s advanced IT infrastructure and expertise in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, Ambassador Ali emphasized the potential for collaboration between Pakistan and the Czech Republic. Leveraging their respective strengths, the two countries can explore opportunities for partnership in various key areas.
During the webinar, CEO of Code District, Ashar Samdani, showcased the product and service range offered by Pakistani software houses to external markets. Presentations from the Czech side, delivered by Miroslav Hazer, Eva Rybkova, and Ahsan Aslam, highlighted economic opportunities in the Czech Republic, fostering dialogue between businesses from both countries.
The webinar aimed to spotlight Pakistan’s IT potential to the Central and Eastern European markets, particularly the Czech Republic, while facilitating significant B2B engagement between interested companies. It also served to educate Pakistani firms about local regulations and potential bottlenecks when conducting business in the Czech Republic.
