PQC Labs and Lurniva, two startups incubated at NIC Peshawar, were sent to attend LEAP as part of the incubator’s offerings for its cohort, giving them the opportunity to explore emerging technologies, connect with global industry leaders, and gain exposure to an international innovation ecosystem. Their participation reflects NIC Peshawar’s continued investment in giving its founders direct access to major international platforms rather than confining their growth exclusively to domestic markets.
PQC Labs, whose name points to a focus on post quantum cryptography, represents a technically specialised category within the security and encryption space, an area of growing global relevance as organisations worldwide begin preparing for the eventual arrival of quantum computing capable of breaking conventional cryptographic systems. The startup’s presence at LEAP gave it exposure to international conversations and potential partners relevant to this emerging and highly technical field.
Lurniva, based on its name, appears positioned within the education technology space, giving the startup an opportunity to connect with global edtech innovators and potential partners at LEAP, a summit that has continued to draw a broad cross section of technology sectors beyond purely enterprise or fintech focused startups.
Sending these two startups to LEAP reflects NIC Peshawar’s broader strategy of using exposure visits to major international events as a tangible benefit for founders within its cohort, extending the incubator’s value proposition beyond local mentorship and workspace access into genuine international market exposure. This kind of opportunity can prove particularly valuable for KP based startups, who may otherwise have less direct access to major global technology gatherings compared to founders based in Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad.
NIC Peshawar has used this experience to promote applications for its Cohort 16, positioning international exposure opportunities such as the LEAP visit as a concrete incentive for prospective founders considering the incubator. The initiative was supported by Ignite National Technology Fund, Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication, LMKR, LMKT, Orbit Startups, Accelerate Prosperity, and Sybrid, alongside academic institutions including IM Sciences, Rehman Medical Institute, and CECOS University, reflecting the broad institutional network tied to NIC Peshawar’s ongoing programming.
