RAIN Catalysts Expo Shines a Light on Women Founders in Pakistan

The RAIN Catalysts’ Investors Networking and Expo, held at the Bahria Innovation Center Islamabad concluded with great success this past week. The event provided a platform for startups to showcase their products and services to a diverse audience, including judges, investors, students, and faculty.

Laiba Arshad, Adeena Arshad, and Zumla Yasin emerged as the top three winners of the pitching competition,demonstrating the high caliber of talent within Pakistan’s startup ecosystem.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to the U.S. Embassy Islamabad and Zakaria Rizvi for funding the project, and to Caroline Cummings for her dedication in executing the event.

The event also featured a panel of esteemed judges, including Sayyed Ahmad Masud, Shehryar Hydri, Merai Syed,Karima Khan, Salman Iqbal, Hashir Ibne Irshad, Sumera Abbasi, Sana Khan, and Naureen Ghaffar. Their insightful feedback and motivational talks provided valuable guidance to founders.

This successful expo highlights RAIN Catalysts’ commitment to empowering women founders and early-stage startups.They invite the community to join them in supporting and nurturing the next generation of Pakistani innovators.
