SBP Business Idea Competition 2025 Opens for Pakistan Women Entrepreneurship Day

Published on

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has introduced the Business Idea Competition as part of its Pakistan Women Entrepreneurship Day 2025 (PWED2025) celebrations. The initiative is designed to encourage women across the country to showcase their entrepreneurial potential and bring forward innovative solutions that can contribute to Pakistan’s economic and social growth.

The competition has been launched under the theme of women’s empowerment in business, reflecting SBP’s broader commitment to building inclusive financial and entrepreneurial ecosystems. By creating a platform for aspiring female entrepreneurs, SBP aims to highlight women’s contributions to innovation, strengthen the culture of entrepreneurship, and provide visibility to ideas that have the potential to turn into sustainable ventures.

Participants are invited to submit their business ideas by completing the online registration form available through SBP’s survey portal. The last date for submission is November 5, 2025, giving women innovators across different sectors ample time to prepare their entries. SBP has also published a detailed guideline document to assist participants in understanding the competition’s requirements and evaluation process, ensuring transparency and fair assessment of submissions.

The Business Idea Competition is a key part of the Pakistan Women Entrepreneurship Day 2025 celebrations, an initiative that recognizes and celebrates the role of women in shaping the country’s entrepreneurial landscape. PWED2025 focuses on empowering women with resources, opportunities, and recognition while creating awareness around their potential to contribute meaningfully to the economy. The event brings together stakeholders from business, technology, academia, and the financial sector to inspire and support women-led innovation.

SBP has been taking multiple steps in recent years to strengthen financial inclusion for women and encourage their participation in entrepreneurial ventures. By launching dedicated programs like the Business Idea Competition, SBP not only highlights opportunities but also ensures that women innovators receive the acknowledgment and support they deserve. Such initiatives contribute to bridging gender gaps in entrepreneurship and finance, which remain critical to Pakistan’s long-term economic sustainability.

The competition also aligns with global movements toward increasing women’s participation in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership. By providing an avenue for women to present fresh ideas, SBP is positioning Pakistan’s female entrepreneurs to take part in regional and international innovation conversations. Furthermore, initiatives like these strengthen Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by encouraging inclusivity, innovation, and collaboration.

Aspiring participants can access the official competition form through SBP’s online survey portal and are encouraged to review the detailed guidelines before applying. The Business Idea Competition is expected to attract a wide range of entries, from early-stage concepts to more developed entrepreneurial projects, reflecting the diversity and creativity of Pakistan’s women entrepreneurs.

With the launch of this initiative, SBP continues to reinforce its role as a key enabler of entrepreneurship and innovation in the country, providing women the opportunity to transform their ideas into impactful ventures.
