Sindh Enterprise Incubation Center is hosting a Startup KPI and Goal-Setting Workshop tomorrow, October 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the SEIC Catalyst Hall, giving its Cohort 2 founders a four-hour working session on one of the less glamorous but more decisive parts of building a company, knowing how to measure whether it is actually progressing. The workshop is led by Dr. Kanza Sohail, Incubation Lead at IBA CEDIR and Assistant Professor at IBA-SBS, who also served on a panel during SEIC’s recent Final Pitching Round for the same cohort.
The session is designed to help founders understand how to set meaningful KPIs, establish clear goals, and translate a startup vision into measurable outcomes. That framing addresses a common problem among early-stage teams, where ambition is plentiful but progress is tracked loosely, through a mix of revenue figures, user counts, and gut feeling that do not always point in the same direction. A well-chosen KPI forces a founder to decide what success actually looks like at a given stage, whether that is customer acquisition, retention, revenue per customer, or product usage, and to commit to a number that can be checked month after month.
The emphasis on meaningful measures matters because many young companies track whatever is easiest to count rather than what reflects the health of the business. Vanity metrics can create the impression of momentum while masking weak unit economics or low customer retention, and investors tend to look past them quickly during due diligence. By working through goal setting alongside KPI selection, Cohort 2 founders can connect day-to-day targets to the larger milestones they need to hit before approaching investors, applying for follow-on funding, or entering new markets.
The workshop continues SEIC’s run of practitioner-led sessions for Cohort 2, following its recent session on the Business Model Canvas and revenue design, and it reflects a broader effort to give founders a structured foundation after the selection stage. SEIC operates under the Science and Information Technology Department of the Government of Sindh, with Sapphire Consulting Services, HUM Network, and IBA CEDIR supporting its programming, and sessions like this one give the cohort practical frameworks they can apply to their own ventures the same week they learn them.
