UAE-based British Pakistani businessman Shakeel Ahmad Meer has unveiled plans to launch “Vision Pakistan,” a strategic initiative aimed at bolstering the country’s economy. The announcement comes amidst growing investor confidence following the 2024 elections in Pakistan.
As the executive chairman of his private trading group, Shakeel Ahmad Meer intends to personally inaugurate Vision Pakistan during his visit to Pakistan.
The initiative is geared towards lifting the country out of its economic challenges and attracting investments to stimulate business activity.
During a press conference held in Dubai, Meer emphasized Vision Pakistan’s objective of driving economic growth and social progress in collaboration with the new government. The initiative is seen as a beacon of hope for Pakistan’s economic resurgence, reflecting Meer’s dedication to sustainable development and prosperity in his homeland.
One of the key components of Vision Pakistan is the Tradegate ecosystem, aimed at promoting Pakistani products globally, boosting exports, and attracting foreign investment.
Dr. Umeer, President of the group, highlighted the initiative’s primary goal of empowering Pakistani youth economically by creating self-sustaining employment opportunities. He underscored the importance of establishing growth hubs to foster economic development and nurture local talent.
