Spaceman Studios Delivers Marketing Session for Cohort 5 at NIC Islamabad

Published on

Spaceman Studios delivered an exclusive marketing focused session titled Mission Marketing, From Launchpad to Scale, for Cohort 5 founders at National Incubation Center Islamabad, walking participants through the strategic and practical elements involved in building a marketing engine capable of growing alongside a startup. The session was framed around the idea that effective marketing centres on relevance rather than broad reach, with the underlying message being that reaching the right people with the right message at the right time matters more than simply maximising visibility.

Shantal Silas opened the session by taking founders back to marketing fundamentals, covering how to understand a target market, define an Ideal Customer Profile, identify specific customer pain points, map out competitors, and use SWOT analysis to uncover potential opportunities within a given market. The central takeaway from this portion of the session was that founders cannot effectively market to everyone, reinforcing the idea that a clearly defined target audience is a necessary starting point for any marketing strategy.

Ayesha Abbasi followed by moving the discussion from strategy into execution, guiding founders through audience segmentation, content strategy development, campaign planning, and the structure of a marketing funnel spanning awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention stages. This portion of the session gave founders a more practical framework for translating the earlier strategic concepts into actionable marketing plans they could apply directly to their own startups.

The session’s broader takeaway centred on the idea that increased attention does not automatically translate into growth, with mentors emphasising that the real goal for founders is building a system capable of converting the right kind of attention into meaningful action, whether that be customer acquisition, retention, or another measurable outcome tied to business growth. This distinction between attention and actionable growth formed a central thread running through both portions of the session.

The event was supported by Ministry Of IT and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan, and Ignite National Technology Fund, reflecting the continued institutional backing behind NIC Islamabad’s cohort based training programming. Organisers extended thanks to Spaceman Studios for equipping founders with practical tools and frameworks aimed at helping them market more effectively rather than simply increasing the volume of their marketing efforts.
