The visit was hosted by the NIC Islamabad team, who welcomed the students and shared insights into the broader efforts being undertaken by Ignite National Technology Fund and Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication to strengthen the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. During the session, students were introduced to the role played by National Incubation Center Islamabad in supporting early stage founders and building a network of innovators working across different sectors of the technology and startup economy.

The visiting group was given an overview of the incubation journey at National Incubation Center Islamabad, including the process through which early stage founders transform ideas into viable startups through mentorship, training and access to resources. Members of the NIC Islamabad team explained how startups participating in the incubation program gain exposure to industry mentors, investors and a collaborative environment designed to help founders refine their products and business strategies. National Incubation Center Islamabad operates as an incubator and accelerator initiative supported by Ignite National Technology Fund under Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, with the objective of nurturing innovative startups and strengthening the national technology ecosystem.

During the interaction, the Project Director at NIC Islamabad also shared perspectives on the evolving fashion and textile industry, encouraging students to explore entrepreneurial pathways beyond conventional career choices. The discussion highlighted how creative fields such as fashion and design can intersect with entrepreneurship, technology and digital platforms to generate new business opportunities. Students were encouraged to consider how their creative abilities could translate into innovative ventures and contribute to the development of new products, brands and services within Pakistan’s growing creative economy.

The session sparked discussions among students on the role of innovation, design and business in shaping the future of the fashion sector, with participants reflecting on how emerging technologies and entrepreneurial thinking can influence creative industries. The visit provided students with a closer look at how incubation centers operate and how aspiring founders can transform ideas into startups through structured mentorship and ecosystem support. NIC Islamabad noted that it was encouraging to see young creative minds exploring the possibility of turning their passions into entrepreneurial ventures, reinforcing the importance of exposure to innovation environments for students from diverse academic backgrounds.
