Twelve Pakistani Firms Sign Investment Deals to Expand Into Saudi Arabia

Published on

Twelve prominent Pakistani companies spanning various sectors have signed Memorandums of Understanding with Al Raee Group to launch operations and execute large-scale investments in Saudi Arabia, marking what organisers described as a significant milestone in investment cooperation between the two countries. The agreements were signed at the Saudi Company Formation and Business Expansion Summit 2026, organised by Al Raee Group in Islamabad, an event framed by its organisers as laying the foundation for a long-term economic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The scale of participation, spanning twelve companies from different industries rather than a single sector, suggests an appetite among Pakistani businesses for regional expansion at a moment when Gulf economies, and Saudi Arabia in particular, are actively courting foreign capital and enterprise as part of their broader economic diversification efforts.

Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasir, addressing the summit as chief guest, said relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia rest on a foundation of faith, mutual trust, and shared progress, framing the bilateral relationship in terms that extend beyond pure commercial interest. He noted that Saudi Vision 2030 has opened new avenues for global investment and private sector growth, creating opportunities for Pakistan’s business community to participate in a transformation that has reshaped much of the Saudi economy over the past several years. He congratulated Al Raee Group and Saudi Arabia for hosting a summit he described as a vital initiative for strengthening economic connectivity and adding a new dimension to bilateral trade and investment, and assured attendees that the Senate of Pakistan and the government would continue supporting initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth, employment generation, and technology transfer between the two countries.

Bilal M. Zubair, Chairman of Al Raee Group, welcomed attendees and outlined the business-friendly policies underpinning Saudi Arabia’s current investment climate in considerable detail. He explained that under Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom now permits full foreign ownership of businesses, offers simplified banking channels for incoming companies, and has removed minimum capital requirements for a range of business activities, changes he characterised as creating an ideal corporate environment for outside investors looking to establish a presence in the Gulf. He added that any private limited company or partnership firm from Pakistan that has operated for at least one year can expand into the Saudi economy through a relatively straightforward process, submitting key documentation that includes a Certificate of Incorporation and an audited financial report, a pathway designed to lower the administrative burden typically associated with cross-border expansion.

Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Atif Ikram Sheikh used his remarks to emphasise the broader need for strengthening private sector linkages between the two countries, praising Al Raee Group’s role as a bridge in Pakistan-Saudi trade relations and suggesting that sustained institutional support of this kind would be necessary to convert individual company agreements into a durable pattern of bilateral commercial activity. The summit drew attendance from foreign diplomats, leading investors, and senior corporate executives representing both national and international companies, underscoring the level of interest in deepening economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia at a time when both governments have signalled continued commitment to expanding trade and investment cooperation across multiple sectors of their respective economies.
