USAID Offers FDI Grants to Boost Pakistani Businesses

Published on

USAID Investment Promotion Activity has officially announced the launch of the third round of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Grants, offering up to $100,000 USD to businesses across multiple sectors. These grants aim to reduce investment risks and open doors for companies seeking international opportunities.

Eligible sectors include Information and Communications Technology (ICT), with a focus on emerging areas like AI, fintech, healthtech, and edtech. Other sectors include manufacturing, agribusiness, hospitality, and tourism. Businesses in different stages of development, even those outside these categories, are encouraged to apply.

In a bid to assist applicants, USAID is also offering pre-application orientation sessions. Entrepreneurs from Gilgit can secure their spots in these sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The grants, awarded in Pakistani Rupees (PKR), will be calculated based on the prevailing USD-PKR exchange rate at the time of disbursement. Interested businesses can email IPAfund@pakistanipa.com with “FDI Grants” in the subject line to receive further information, including the Request for Application (RFA) and guidelines or follow this link.

This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for businesses to enhance their international investment prospects and fuel growth.
