WeConnect Hosts Pitch Circle for Women Founders in Islamabad

Published on

Women founders need more than opportunities to build, they need rooms where they can actually be heard, and that is what makes the WeConnect Pitch Circle at NIC Islamabad stand apart from more conventional networking or pitch events. In just three minutes, women entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to put their businesses forward, receive real feedback, sharpen their brand presence, and connect with a community that understands what it genuinely means to build something from the ground up.

The event is structured around three core components rather than a single passive presentation format. The pitch and feedback segment gives founders three minutes with no filler to say what they are building and get real input on the spot, a format that mirrors the kind of quick, direct scrutiny founders are likely to encounter later in actual investor or partner conversations. This is paired with a Canva Brand Design Learning Lab, led by Rameesha, Senior Creative Designer at Change Mechanics, giving founders practical guidance on strengthening their visual brand presence, an area that is often underinvested in by early-stage founders focused primarily on product development.

Rounding out the session, networking and activities are designed to be high-energy and fast-paced, built specifically for real connections rather than small talk, reflecting an intentional effort to move beyond the somewhat stilted, transactional networking format common at many startup events. Organisers have also noted there are no exhibition stalls at this event, with founders instead representing their own brand and product directly rather than through a traditional booth setup, reinforcing the event’s more personal, direct engagement style.

Scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026, from 2 to 5 in the afternoon at NIC Islamabad in H-9, the event is organised by WECON Movement in partnership with NIC Islamabad. The session forms part of the broader WECON 2026 programming and is supported by Change Mechanics, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan, and Ignite National Technology Fund. Interested participants can register through https://lnkd.in/egazU6Gu, with the event offering women founders a structured but high-energy format built specifically around pitching, learning, and building meaningful professional connections in real time.
