Women founders from the Women Innovation and Startup Empowerment Lab’s Cohort 1 took part in a Pitch Deck Training Session today at National Incubation Center Islamabad, running from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM as part of their broader journey through the programme. Coming right after Cohort 1’s Induction Interviews and ahead of the Final Pitching Round scheduled for September 28, the session gives newly onboarded founders a structured, dedicated block of time to build their pitch materials before facing that competitive final stage.
The session is built around the premise that a clear pitch starts with a clear understanding of the venture itself, working through the core elements founders need to communicate effectively, defining the problem and solution, understanding the target market, presenting the business model, highlighting traction, and shaping a coherent story around the venture as a whole. Rather than treating pitch deck construction as a formatting exercise, this structure pushes founders to interrogate the underlying logic of their business first, ensuring the deck reflects genuine clarity about the venture rather than polished slides built around an underdeveloped concept.
Three facilitators led the session, each bringing a distinct area of expertise. Yasir Amjad, a Customer and Traction Management and Product-Market Fit specialist, brought a rigor-focused lens on validating whether a startup’s traction and market fit claims actually hold up under scrutiny. Saniyah Junaid, Community Engagement Manager, and Salman Ahmed, Program Manager, rounded out the facilitation team, likely handling the more logistical and cohort-specific coaching that ensures each founder’s pitch reflects their individual venture rather than a generic template.
Running exclusively for WISE Lab Cohort 1 startups, the session reflects the programme’s continued investment in building a rigorous foundation for its inaugural cohort ahead of the Final Pitching Round. With backing from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, Ignite National Technology Fund, JazzWorld, Mobilink Bank, and Change Mechanics, the Pitch Deck Training Session gives Cohort 1’s women founders a final structured preparation step before they present their ventures in the competitive setting that will determine WISE Lab’s first official cohort.
