Ignite and MoITT Invite Pakistani Startups to Showcase Climate Solutions at COP30 in Brazil

Published on

Ignite – National Technology Fund, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, has opened applications for the Pakistan Startup Competition for Climate Solutions – COP30 Edition. The initiative aims to spotlight Pakistan’s most promising climate-focused startups on the international stage at COP30, scheduled to be held in Belém, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, 2025.

The program invites startups working in ClimateTech, GreenTech, and AgriTech to showcase their innovations addressing climate action, sustainability, and climate finance. The competition serves as a gateway for local entrepreneurs to gain global exposure, build international networks, and demonstrate the country’s technological potential in combating environmental challenges.

Selected startups will have the opportunity to present their solutions at COP30 — one of the world’s most influential gatherings for climate dialogue and policy development. The platform will connect Pakistani innovators with global investors, policymakers, and technology leaders, providing a chance to drive meaningful climate impact while representing Pakistan on an international stage.

Pakistan’s participation at COP30 underscores the growing significance of innovation in addressing environmental sustainability and climate resilience. With the country experiencing the effects of climate change — from extreme weather patterns to resource depletion — the role of startups in creating practical, technology-driven solutions has become more vital than ever. Through this competition, Ignite and its partners aim to bridge the gap between innovation and policy by providing a global platform for solutions that can be scaled and supported internationally.

The competition’s focus on Climate Action and Climate Finance encourages startups to present ideas that not only mitigate environmental impact but also offer sustainable financial models for long-term implementation. Participants will gain visibility among global stakeholders and access mentorship, exposure, and strategic partnerships that could accelerate the deployment of their technologies.

Ignite’s initiative reflects its ongoing mission to drive innovation-led growth across Pakistan’s technology ecosystem. Over the years, Ignite has played a central role in empowering entrepreneurs through funding, incubation, and accelerator programs. This latest effort extends that impact into the climate technology space, aligning with the government’s broader agenda for green growth and environmental resilience.

According to the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Pakistan’s inclusion in global climate innovation networks is essential for positioning the country as an emerging contributor to sustainable technologies. By connecting local innovators with global forums like COP30, Pakistan aims to highlight its commitment to climate action and unlock new pathways for investment and collaboration.

Applications for the Pakistan Startup Competition for COP30 are open until October 18, 2025. Interested startups can apply through ignite.org.pk/cop30, where they can access detailed terms, conditions, and submission requirements. Selected startups will be provided support to prepare for their international showcase, with opportunities to network with global experts, climate advocates, and investors.

As the world’s attention turns to Brazil this November, Pakistan’s innovators have a chance to prove that technology-driven climate solutions from emerging markets can make a significant global impact. Through this initiative, Ignite and its partners continue to foster a spirit of innovation, sustainability, and collaboration — empowering Pakistani startups to shine on one of the world’s largest climate platforms.
