University Of Peshawar Business Incubation Center Invites Students To Apply For Zindigi Prize Competition

Published on

The Business Incubation Center at the University of Peshawar has invited students to apply for Zindigi Prize, a startup competition that gives young entrepreneurs a chance to turn their ideas into impactful solutions. The campus round will be held at the center, and students who have an innovative idea or a startup concept can apply through the application form. The winner of the campus round will receive a cash prize of PKR 30,000, while the second and third runners-up will receive certificates of recognition.

Zindigi Prize is a yearlong social entrepreneurship programme run by Zindigi, the digital banking brand of JS Bank. It follows a three stage path, starting with a campus round in each participating university, followed by regional rounds and a final round that ends with a grand award. The winning team from each campus moves on to the regional stage, which gives students at universities across the country a route to a national platform. In earlier years, the programme has covered well over a hundred universities, and its regional events have included workshops, mentoring from industry experts and speed dating sessions with investors and founders.

For students in Peshawar, the competition offers a practical reason to turn a classroom idea into a pitch. The campus round gives them an early chance to present before a panel, receive feedback and compete for cash, and the winner gains a place in the regional round where they will meet teams from other universities. The center’s message to students is that they should not wait for the perfect moment, and that the first step is to share their vision and apply.

The Business Incubation Center was established in September 2024 as a university-backed incubation hub for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and hosting the campus round of the competition adds to its programme of training and cohort-based support for student founders. The dates of the campus round and the closing date for applications have not yet been announced, so interested students are advised to apply early and to follow the official channels of the center for updates.
