ConnectHear Expands to UAE with Pakistan Association Dubai Partnership to Empower Deaf Community

Published on

Pakistan-based accessibility startup ConnectHear has expanded its impact beyond borders, officially entering the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a new strategic partnership aimed at improving accessibility for the Deaf community. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) to deliver Sign Language interpretation services using Indo-Pak Sign Language, ensuring that Deaf individuals can easily access healthcare and community support across Dubai.

Under the partnership, ConnectHear’s interpreters and digital solutions will be integrated into services at the Pakistan Medical Center, Dubai, enabling Deaf patients to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. The collaboration also extends to PAD’s community programs, allowing inclusive participation for individuals with hearing disabilities.

The partnership marks a major milestone for ConnectHear as it expands its social innovation model internationally. By combining AI-powered interpretation with human expertise, the startup is making accessibility solutions more scalable and sustainable.

ConnectHear also made its mark this year at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 and Expand North Star, the world’s largest technology and startup showcase — where it demonstrated its AI-based Sign Language technology. The innovation allows organizations to convert awareness and educational videos into AI-generated Sign Language content, bridging the communication gap for the Deaf community and making critical information more inclusive and accessible.

“We are honored to bring our services to the UAE and partner with Pakistan Association Dubai,” the ConnectHear team shared in a statement. “This collaboration allows us to extend healthcare and community accessibility through technology and human-centered design.”

The initiative has been supported by Ufone 4G, PTCL, and GSMA Mobile for Development, longstanding partners that have worked with ConnectHear to advance digital inclusion and accessibility in Pakistan. Their continued collaboration underscores a shared commitment to ‘Tech for Good’, using innovation to improve lives and create equal opportunities for all.

Founded in Pakistan, ConnectHear has built a reputation for leveraging technology to bridge communication barriers between Deaf and hearing communities. Through live interpretation services, video relay systems, and AI-powered tools, the startup continues to redefine accessibility standards in education, healthcare, and corporate spaces.

At its core, ConnectHear’s mission is to ensure that no voice goes unheard. With this expansion into the UAE, the company is not only strengthening cross-border collaboration but also highlighting how inclusive technology can serve as a universal language for empowerment.

By enabling Deaf individuals in the UAE to access medical care and social services seamlessly, ConnectHear is setting an example for how social impact startups from Pakistan can scale globally, creating inclusive ecosystems that combine empathy, technology, and purpose.
