The International Centre of Excellence hosted the highly impactful “HR Pro Confluence” at the National Incubation Centre Aerospace Technologies (NICAT), Rawalpindi, on November 7, 2023. In collaboration with esteemed partners such as CXO Global, HRPN, HT Crew, Cheezious, and NICAT, the event aimed to unite industry and academia professionals for collaborative discussions on advancing HR practices and workforce development.

The “HR Pro Confluence” seeks to foster collaboration, strengthen linkages, and explore innovative solutions for the future of HR. A key outcome will be the publication of a white paper addressing core issues and proposing future actions to bridge the gap between corporate and academia.

Distinguished speakers, including Dr. Ali Raza Nemati (Group Director Human Resource-iQualifyuk), Ms. Sumbal Manzoor (Director Academics, ICE Pakistan), Ms. Sonia Farooq (Chief Human Resource Officer, U-Microfinance Bank), and Mr. Amjad Iqbal (Group Vice President Growth Partner, PTCL), shared insights on topics such as upskilling the future workforce, digital learning opportunities, and industry-academia collaboration.

Dr. Nemati emphasized the crucial alignment between industry and academia, advocating for a shared perspective to address the prevailing skill gap. Mr. Adil Qazi highlighted the importance of institutional identity in shaping professional competencies and personal values. Mr. Amjad Iqbal underscored the need for strategic leverage of digital learning, preparing students for the dynamic business landscape.

Additionally, the event featured a dynamic panel discussion moderated by Dr. Ali Raza Nemati, involving experts like Ms. Sana Hameed, Mr. Abdul Khaliq, Dr. Samina, and Mr. Abdul Shakoor. The panel explored how industry-academia partnerships can enhance students’ skill sets.

With an exclusive audience of over 100 individuals, including educators, business executives, bankers, and HR specialists, “HR Pro Confluence” also engaged students eager to enter the HR arena. The event showcased a pivotal moment in advancing HR practices and shaping the future of workforce development.
