NIC Karachi Hosts Road to DevFest 2025 Workshop on AI Agent Development

Published on

NIC Karachi recently hosted the Road to DevFest 2025 #2 × Code to Create, an intensive workshop designed to immerse participants in the latest AI agent development technologies. Organized in collaboration with GDG Kolachi, the event focused on practical learning, hands-on creation, and building developer skills aligned with the rapidly evolving AI landscape. The session highlighted Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Gemini 3 advancements, equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to build intelligent agents for real-world applications.

The morning session, led by Raheel Siddiqui, Senior AI Engineer at Mozaik, provided an introduction to AI agents and guided attendees through the process of starting with the ADK. Participants engaged in a hands-on activity where they developed their first agent, applying foundational concepts in a practical setting. Siddiqui’s session emphasized both technical understanding and the practical application of AI tools, enabling attendees to gain meaningful experience while exploring emerging AI technologies.

Following the foundational workshop, an advanced session led by Hassam Jawed and Suhaib Ahmed Shariff, Software Engineers at Letswork, delved deeper into agent development. The trainers introduced participants to sophisticated agent patterns, integrated Gemini 3 functionalities, and guided them through building a complete agent solution from scratch. The advanced segment not only expanded participants’ technical skills but also highlighted best practices for deploying scalable, real-world AI solutions.

Throughout the workshop, participants were encouraged to experiment, collaborate, and apply their learning in hands-on projects. From building basic agents to implementing advanced Gemini 3 integrations, the workshop bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical AI engineering. Attendees left with enhanced technical capabilities, actionable insights, and a deeper understanding of how to leverage agent technologies in professional and entrepreneurial contexts.

NIC Karachi emphasized the importance of such developer-focused initiatives in strengthening Pakistan’s tech ecosystem. By providing access to industry experts, real-world applications, and collaborative learning environments, the event reinforced the role of training programs in preparing the next generation of AI developers. GDG Kolachi’s involvement, combined with guidance from experienced software engineers, contributed to a highly interactive and impactful experience for all participants.

The Road to DevFest 2025 #2 × Code to Create underscores NIC Karachi’s ongoing commitment to fostering AI expertise and practical skills among developers. Events like this not only cultivate technical talent but also promote innovation, collaboration, and confidence within Pakistan’s developer community, preparing participants to tackle future challenges in AI-driven industries.

The organizers expressed gratitude to GDG Kolachi, trainers, and attendees for their engagement and dedication, noting that the workshop’s success highlights the growing appetite for structured AI learning opportunities in the country. Such initiatives continue to strengthen Pakistan’s tech ecosystem, supporting developers in creating solutions that are globally competitive and locally impactful.
