Director NSTP Engineer Amer Sheikh, along with Senior General Manager Emmad Ahsan, welcomed investor Christy Wang and Startup Investment Coach Shumaisa Rehman to National Science and Technology Park, hosting a one on one discussion that highlighted NSTP’s role in enabling startups, strengthening industry academia linkages, and advancing technology driven innovation within Pakistan. The visit gave the two visiting professionals a direct briefing on how NSTP structures its support for the startups operating within its ecosystem.
During the visit, Program Manager Humaira S. hosted a one on one investor pitch round specifically involving two startups from NSTP’s Cube 8 cohort, Neosyss and Brainstorm Robotics. This structured pitch format gave both startups dedicated time to present their ventures directly to Wang and Rehman, rather than participating in a broader group pitch session alongside multiple other companies.
The engagement provided a valuable platform for Neosyss and Brainstorm Robotics to showcase their respective innovations, receive direct investor perspectives on their business models and growth plans, and explore potential opportunities for investment, further growth, and collaboration. The one on one format allowed for a more detailed and personalised exchange between the startups and the visiting investor and coach compared to a typical demo day setting involving larger audiences.
Brainstorm Robotics, given its name, appears positioned within the robotics segment of Pakistan’s deep tech startup landscape, a category that has continued to attract growing attention within NSTP’s broader portfolio of hardware and technology focused ventures. Neosyss’s specific focus was not detailed as part of the announcement, though its inclusion within the same pitch round suggests it shares a similarly technical or innovation driven positioning consistent with NSTP’s broader startup profile.
Shumaisa Rehman’s role as a Startup Investment Coach brought an additional layer of guidance to the session, potentially helping the two startups refine how they present their ventures to investors beyond the immediate pitch round itself. The visit adds to NSTP’s continued pattern of facilitating direct connections between its incubated startups and visiting investors, positioning the technology park as an active intermediary between early stage Pakistani ventures and the external capital and expertise needed to help them scale.
