Pakistan Startup Cup Marks 10-Year Milestone with Landmark Event in Karachi

TiE Islamabad and the U.S. Embassy celebrated the 10-year milestone of the Pakistan Startup Cup in Karachi. This landmark event marked a decade of partnership between the United States and Pakistan, driving innovation and success in the country’s entrepreneurial landscape.

The occasion, inclusive of persons with disabilities, brought together government officials, corporate leaders, investors, Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs), startups, and winners of the Pakistan Startup Cup. This diversity showcased the breadth of stakeholders in Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Naeem Zamindar, former Minister of State & Chairman of the Board of Investments, graced the event as the chief guest. He expressed enthusiasm, highlighting the event as a reflection of the incredible journey, impact, and success stories that have emerged over the past 10 years.

Valerie O’Brien, Deputy Counselor for Public Affairs at the US Embassy, emphasized the U.S. Mission’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in Pakistan. She stressed the importance of empowering young people to become job creators and change-makers.

The capstone event featured various activities, including an Investor’s Roundtable, success stories by top startups, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities. Attendees also enjoyed a screening of a short documentary capturing the essence of the Pakistan Startup Cup’s decade-long journey.

With a lineup of international experts and industry leaders, the event served as a platform for passionate individuals interested in entrepreneurship and innovation in Pakistan. It aimed to strengthen cross-border partnerships, showcase global startup networks, and highlight the achievements of Pakistani startups on the global stage.
