Pathfinder CITADEL Cohort 2 Holds Pitch Masterclass Ahead of Demo Day

Published on

Session 8 of Pathfinder CITADEL Cohort 2 marked a pivotal point in the programme’s run-up to Demo Day, bringing founders through a Pitch Masterclass on September 17, 2026, designed to sharpen not just what participants say in their pitch but how they deliver it under pressure. Rather than treating pitch preparation as a final formality before Demo Day, the session was structured to address the gap between having a strong underlying business and being able to communicate that strength convincingly within a tight time window in front of investors.

Founders worked directly under the guidance of Air Cdr Khalid Banuri, refining their five-minute pitches with particular attention to how they present their business, traction, market opportunity, and overall investment case, the core elements investors typically weigh when deciding whether a venture is worth a follow-up conversation. Condensing an entire business into five minutes forces founders to make hard choices about what matters most, and the session’s focus on that discipline reflects an understanding that most pitches fail not from a lack of substance but from an inability to prioritize the right details within a limited window.

The session’s centerpiece was a mock investor experience, placing founders in a setting deliberately designed to replicate the pressure and scrutiny of an actual pitch in front of investors rather than a friendly rehearsal audience. That kind of simulated pressure testing gives founders a chance to identify weaknesses in their delivery and content while the stakes are still low, correcting for nerves, unclear framing, or shaky answers to tough questions before they matter in front of real capital. Participants left the exercise with constructive feedback pointing to specific areas needing further refinement ahead of the actual Demo Day presentation.

By the end of Session 8, CITADEL Cohort 2 founders had measurably progressed toward Demo Day readiness, with sharper pitches, stronger stage delivery, and more developed investor-facing presentation skills than they carried into the session. The programme’s framing, that founders must now shift focus from simply having a strong idea to presenting it with confidence, clarity, and purpose, sets up Demo Day as the moment where months of Pathfinder CITADEL’s cohort work gets tested directly in front of the audience it was ultimately built for.
