SEIC And Pakistan Single Window Hold Trade Readiness Session To Help Startups Access Global Markets

Published on

SEIC, in collaboration with Pakistan Single Window, has hosted a session on Trade Readiness aimed at helping startups understand the processes and requirements involved in reaching international markets. The session was titled From Startup to Global Markets and was held for founders from SEIC’s Cohort 1 and Cohort 2, who received practical guidance on strengthening their readiness to trade and on taking steps to expand their businesses beyond Pakistan’s borders. The announcement did not say when or where the session took place or how many founders attended.

The session featured Momal Mushtaque, Assistant Manager for Change Management at Pakistan Single Window, and Rizwan Samad, Deputy Manager for Change Management. The two speakers shared insights on registration with the Pakistan Single Window platform, export procedures, documentation and regulatory requirements. For a young company that wants to sell abroad, these steps are often the least familiar part of the process, since a startup can have a working product and a willing overseas customer but still be held up by paperwork, compliance rules and unfamiliar procedures at the border. Early guidance on what is required can help founders avoid delays and plan their export activity with fewer surprises.

The discussion also highlighted how Pakistan Single Window helps businesses simplify trade processes, reduce costs and explore opportunities in global markets. The platform is built to bring trade-related procedures together in one place, and the session gave founders a chance to learn how it can be used in practice instead of only hearing about it in general terms. The announcement did not go into detail on the specific procedures or fees covered, nor did it say whether any startups will receive follow-up support in getting registered, so the next steps for the participating founders are not covered in the source.

SEIC thanked Pakistan Single Window and its partners for supporting the growth of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem. The programme operates with the involvement of SITD Government of Sindh, Sapphire Consulting Services and HUM Network, all of which were acknowledged in the announcement. The session adds to the training that SEIC has been arranging for its founders, which has also included sessions on unit economics, data-driven iteration and prototype scoping.
