SheXcelerate has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SparkTank aimed at supporting youth and women-led entrepreneurship through capacity building, mentorship, and community-driven initiatives, formalizing a partnership between two organizations that have each built distinct footholds in Pakistan’s entrepreneurship support ecosystem. The MoU was signed between Zenab Javed, Director at Khantastic Ventures and Head of Operations and Outreach at SheXcelerate, and Scherezade Tarar, Deputy Director of Professional Development and Research at SparkTank, giving the partnership a direct line of accountability between two operational leads rather than a purely symbolic agreement between organizational figureheads.
The partnership’s scope centers on co-hosting expert-led bootcamps and mentorship sessions, combining SheXcelerate’s focus on women-led ventures with SparkTank’s broader entrepreneurship development infrastructure to reach a wider pool of founders than either organization might draw independently. Pooling programming this way allows both organizations to offer more substantial, expert-led training than either could likely sustain running solo, while giving participants access to a combined network rather than a single organization’s more limited reach.
Beyond joint programming, the MoU includes provisions for unlocking exclusive networking and industry access for the community, along with a specific commitment to fundraising support that connects high-potential startups directly with the right investors to help them scale. That fundraising component distinguishes this partnership from a purely educational collaboration, since directly facilitating investor introductions addresses one of the more persistent gaps facing women-led startups in Pakistan, where founders often report stronger access to training and mentorship than to actual capital once they are ready to raise.
For SheXcelerate, the partnership extends its mission of supporting women-led entrepreneurship into a more resourced, jointly operated structure, while giving SparkTank a partner organization with focused expertise on gender-specific barriers within the startup ecosystem.
