funl Teams Up With Replit For Builders Edition Demo Day

Published on

funl has partnered with Replit Community to bring added AI capability to Builder’s Edition, an event inviting founders to demonstrate products they have built using AI tools directly on stage. The partnership pairs funl’s event platform with Replit, a browser based development platform valued at 9 billion dollars that allows users to move from a prompt to a running application without setting up any local development environment, and which has become one of the more widely used tools within the global AI builder community.

Builder’s Edition is structured around identifying two to three founders who have built a real, working product using AI tools, with Replit given as an example though not a strict requirement, to share a five minute build story followed by a live demonstration in front of attendees. Organisers have framed the selection criteria around curiosity and initiative rather than polish, stating explicitly that they are looking for builders willing to show early or imperfect work rather than only fully finished products.

Founders interested in participating are asked to submit three pieces of information as part of their application, covering what their product does and who it serves, which tool they used to build it, and a link or clip demonstrating it in action. This structure gives organisers a quick way to assess both the substance of what has been built and the practical evidence that it functions as described, before selecting participants for the stage demonstration slots.

The event is scheduled to take place on August 21, 2026, from 5 PM to 7 PM at WorkMore 3.0 in Karachi, with applications for participation closing on August 15. Prospective demo participants are required to register for the event itself and separately express interest in showcasing their product, with organisers stating that selected participants will be notified within five days of the application deadline.

The partnership with Replit Community adds an AI development tooling dimension to funl’s existing Builder’s Edition format, reflecting a broader pattern within Karachi’s startup and builder community of events increasingly centred around AI assisted development rather than traditional coding demonstrations alone. As more founders turn to AI powered, no setup development platforms to build functional products quickly, events structured around live build stories and demonstrations offer a direct way for the local ecosystem to showcase what that shift in tooling looks like in practice Register at  https://lnkd.in/dtcvMsEw
