Karachi Frames will host two main stage sessions on October 27, 2026, at CEGA in Karachi, focusing on how Pakistani animation studios are built and how artificial intelligence is changing the way animation gets made. Both sessions are free to attend, and interested participants can sign up through the official registration link.
The first session brings together five studio founders to discuss what it takes to build a Pakistani animation studio and win work from international clients. The speakers are Shehzar Abro of Pirani Productions, Anas Hussain of Miku Animation, Mirsub Fazlani of Innovative Pixels, Amyn Farooqui of Sharp Image and Imran Azhar of AzCorp Entertainment. Organizers have billed the session as an unfiltered account of the founders’ experiences, offering aspiring studio owners a look at the practical challenges of building a business in the sector and competing for global projects.
The second session is a debate on whether artificial intelligence is a tool, a threat or the future of animation. Team AI will be represented by Taha Shuja Hyder, a creative technologist, and Asghar Ali Ghanchi, an AI filmmaker, while Team Non-AI will feature Ahsan Ali of The Glassworker and Saad Irfan, art director at One Brush Man. The debate will be moderated by Shehzar Abro, founder of Pirani Productions, and organizers have invited the audience to share which side they support.
The sessions form part of the Karachi Frames programme at CEGA, which follows the Lahore Frames animation meetup held earlier this year. The announcements did not specify session timings or the full event schedule, so attendees may need to check the registration page for further details as the event date approaches.
