Lahore Frames Reveals Animation Meetup 2026 Competition Winners And Runners

Published on

Lahore Frames, the Animation Meetup 2026, has announced winners across its three competitions, closing out an event organizers described as drawing serious creative talent to the floor. Raahima Rizwan took the top prize in the Animation Project Showcase for Parisa, a 2.5D animation developed as a student thesis project, with runner up honors going to Tethered by Mahir Shafi Saeed, a gender based violence animated film by Hasaan Irfan, Crunch Time by Abdul Raheem, and A Journey into the Mystical Map by Sehar Ihsan.

The winning entry and all four runner-up animations will be showcased on HUM Network, giving the creators access to a considerably larger platform beyond the competition itself. The arrangement reflects a growing pattern within Pakistan’s animation ecosystem of connecting emerging student and independent creators directly with established broadcast platforms rather than confining recognition to festival circuits alone.

In the Sketch Battle competition, Zainab Kamal claimed the top spot, with Abdul Rehman Naeem, Sheikh Huzaifa, Abdul Rehman, and Abdul Rehman, competing under the name Archenoid, named as runners up. The Live Animation Competition was won by Shariq, with Zain Usman, Tanveer, and Ahmad following as runners up, rounding out a full slate of recognition across live, sketch based, and produced animation formats.

Lahore Frames 2026 drew support from Center of Excellence in Gaming and Animation, alongside Elytra Studios as an official partner and additional backing from Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Ignite National Technology Fund. The event forms part of a broader push by CEGA to build a national community of game developers, animators, and creative professionals through events, meetups, and showcases connecting talent with industry leaders and collaborators.
