A strong pitch isn’t just about what a founder says, it’s about how clearly they can make the case for their business, and NIC Hyderabad built its latest Pitch Check session around exactly that idea. Startups at the incubator stepped up to present their ventures while the NIC Hyderabad team put each pitch under close scrutiny, examining everything from the problem and value proposition to the business model, market opportunity and overall story being told.
Founders received direct feedback on what was working in their pitch and where it needed more clarity, giving them a concrete sense of which parts of their presentation were landing effectively and which parts were likely to leave an investor or evaluator with unanswered questions. This kind of structured, pointed feedback can be more valuable to a founder than general encouragement, since it forces them to confront the specific gaps in their reasoning or delivery rather than simply polishing a pitch that may already have deeper structural issues.
The session gave founders an opportunity to test their thinking, spot the gaps in their current pitch, and walk away with something clearer and stronger before facing the next room, the next investor, or the next significant opportunity. Treating a pitch as something to be stress-tested internally first, rather than refined only through live investor meetings, allows founders to work through their weaker points in a lower-stakes setting before the stakes are genuinely high.
The Pitch Check session continues NIC Hyderabad’s pattern of pairing practical, hands-on exercises with its broader support programming, building on earlier sessions that have covered topics ranging from co-founder decisions to personal branding. The event was supported by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, Ignite National Technology Fund, PTCL, LMKT and Tech Destination Pakistan.
